I needed a film to watch and after scanning Sky Movies I saw this and was sold after reading the synopsis “Luke Evans stars as a murderous psychopath who quickly turns the tables when a gang of redneck brutes take him hostage” Now come on, who isn’t curious after reading that? Another thing I only discovered when watching it is that it stars Lee Tergesen who I consider to be a very underrated actor.

Charlie’s Farm(2014)Review
Bill Moseley, Kane Hodder and Nathan freaking Jones how could this not be something special? I first read about this in Scream magazine where they interviewed the makers of the film ever since then I’ve been wanting to watch it. Now I finally have and I’m extremely glad that it more than lived up to the lofty expectations I had of it.
REC Review
Another found footage film! I’d never seen this film until a few days a go despite hearing a lot about it and watching Quarantine which is the Americanized version of it. For some reason I’d just never fancied it, maybe for the silly reason that I did not like the American remake. When out shopping me and Mrs Acidburn noticed the REC trilogy on sale and thought sod it lets give it a go, it promptly sat on my horror DVD shelf for 6 months or more until we decided to give it a watch.
Maniac Cop Review
Maniac Cop starring Bruce Campbell, why the hell did it take me 20 years to watch this film? I can remember kids talking about this film back in school, how their dad had a copy and let them watch it, pretty sure they never did though! The title says it all about this film it’s about a police officer with some serious issues.
Frankensteins Army Review
I’ve seen this film loads of times on Netflix and for some reason every time I’d breeze past it and watch something else instead. Eventually I decided to give it a watch due to how cool looking the monsters looked on the background of Netflix. I must admit I am partial to found footage films for some reason I really enjoy quite a few of them.
An Introduction
I suppose the best way to start this blog/website off is to explain exactly what it’s all about. I’ve always loved the horror genre of films, ever since I was around 12 years old and got too scared to watch Hellraiser past the opening credits as the music creeped me out too much.
I’ve recently stopped playing a couple of computer games that pretty much ruled all my spare time. So I needed something to replace those hours and hours during the week when my missus is at work. I’ve decided I should write brief reviews of all the horror films I watch being as I watch at least one a week, there may also be the odd comic book film, TV show or video game review as well. Now I wouldn’t expect anything groundbreaking far from it, I’m not the sort of person who looks for hidden meaning in a film or analysis’s it to such a degree that I talk about how they should have used a different sort of camera for the film.
