After a night of drinking I sat down today and thought what could I watch as I went about a lazy Sunday. Decided on the classic Jaws because this is obviously a superb film and it got me thinking about how much I enjoy a monster movie. So I’m dedicating this month to watching and reviewing some classic and some not so great monster movies.
After Jaws I was in the mood for some more monster mayhem, someone mentioned Rogue on Twitter which I was surprised I hadn’t seen. So tomorrow I’ll take a look at the classic that is Jaws then I’ll post a review of Rogue and from there on I’m not one hundred percent sure what I’ll be posting up.
I’ve always loved Tremors so that’s going to get a watch and a review but I guess by review I mean more of an appreciative look back at a classic. Seems that Rogue has a very similar poster design as Tremors.
Critters has always been a favourite of mine mainly just to see the subtitled conversations between the mad chaotic little bastards! It’s also available on videocassette.
I thought I’d post this so people can give me a few thoughts on other movies I should consider reviewing. I’m mainly looking for things with one big monster or loads of a little creatures. I’ve reviewed a few monster movies on the site already.
More of a slasher but Nathan Jones is a monster!
Fun Christmas monster movie.
Possibly the best monster movie ever made.
Not sure I’d consider this a monster movie but it pops up one google if you search monster movie.
Crazy cave dwelling monsters.
Plant monsters!
One of the best monster movies you could ever wish to see.
All kinds of crazy mutant monsters getting dismembered in this one.
About to be remade, Pennywise one of the scariest movie monsters.
Great 80’s monster movie!
Bonkers and amazingly gory monster movie.
So if there’s any monster movies you’d like to see me take a look at and review that aren’t on the list then please leave a comment on here or tweet me @ABsHorrorShow
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
