I decided to ask the good people of Twitter to vote for two films from every year I’ve aimlessly been wandering the planet. I set up two polls and I’d watch and review the winner of each from 1981 hopefully right through until the current day. I was hoping to fill the polls with either classic films, ones I’d never seen or ones I’d not watched for a long time. So far the picks were great you can read 1981 winners An American Werewolf In London and The Beyond by clicking their links! But any way now it was time to watch the first winner Poltergeist…………….

Alien Covenant (2017) Review
After seeing the trailers for this film I wasn’t that excited at all, I felt the last film was a huge let down although I didn’t think it was as bad as some people did. With some time to spare before a comedy show me and the missus decided we might as well give this a go at the cinema. Being as Alien was a horror and this film has some horror elements I thought I may as well review it so here it is…..
The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.
This sci-fi/western show ran for 27 episodes on Fox from 1993-1994. It starred the always entertaining actor, Bruce Campbell as Brisco County, Jr. Who is the unusually named character you might ask? Brisco is a Harvard educated ex lawyer turned bounty hunter.
Much like The Wild Wild Westbefore it, Brisco took place in the 1800s during the days of the transcontinental railroad and burgeoning scientific inventions. Another appealing factor was the humorous elements. After the death of Brisco’s esteemed father, (R. Lee Ermey) he decides to become a bounty hunter so that he can take down the man responsible for his father’s death.
The deliciously menacing character actor, Billy Drago plays County’s nemesis and his father’s murderer, John Bly. On his quest for justice, Brisco is joined by Socrates Poole (Christian Clemenson), a lawyer hired to be the liaison between Brisco and the industrialists that want Bly captured. He…

My Life In Horror 1981 part 2 – The Beyond
If you read part 1 which you can do by clicking HERE! You’ll know that through a series of Twitter polls my aim is to watch or rewatch two films from every year I’ve been on the planet and then review them. So 1981 started with An American Werewolf in London and picked second is Lucio Fulci’s The Beyond.
My Life In Horror 1981 part 1 – An American Werewolf In London
I couldn’t decide what to watch and review next so I ended up asking the good folk on Twitter to vote. I then thought why not do my life in horror movies, I’d tweet two polls on Twitter each containing four films from 1981. They’d either be classics, ones I’d not watched in a while or ones I’d never seen. I tried to do the more famous ones in one poll and some other choices in the second poll. So here’s my thought’s on An American Werewolf In London……….
The Dark Tower Trailer
It seems like we’ve been waiting forever to see Stephen King’s The Dark Tower be made into a film, there were rumours of a TV series and a set of films, to be honest I’m not sure if the TV series is still a go or if it’s dead. Anyway here’s the trailer………
Southbound (2015) Review
This is a film I’ve consistently passed on watching since it’s release mainly because I’m not a massive fan of anthology films. After watching Inside No 9 (reviews here Series One, Series Two, Series Three) a British TV anthology show it’s opened me up to giving anthology films a go. I’d heard good things but still went in with low expectations of this film.
Razor Bastard: Rise Of Dick Machine Review
I got a chance to review the second volume of the story of Razor Bastard, a pervy, psychotic, murdering antihero. He’s back and bolder than ever spilling as much blood as ever and wise cracking even more. There’s a bit of mystery and a lot more to this story than the first one which you can read my review of by clicking Here!
Get Out (2017) Review
This film has been hyped a lot recently and received loads of praise, so much that I’ve only seen one person so far say that they weren’t keen everyone else seems to love this. I’ve been wanting to see this for ages and finally got to, loads of hype and praise silly as it may sound can be off putting, surely people are exaggerating how good this is?
The Cottage (2008) Review
I fancied a bit of horror comedy to watch on a Sunday afternoon and this one had some how passed me by when it was initially released. Starring Reece Shearsmith and Andy Serkis I had a good idea it’d be a decent watch. There’s quite a few decent British horror comedies about so I sat down to give it a watch.
