After The Fly and Little Shop of Horrors won the 1986 vote on Twitter I once again took to the polls to find two films from 1987 to watch and review. This is possibly my favourite year so far with Hellraiser winning and also Near Dark. Now Near Dark I had never seen before, I’m not sure why it was just a film that passed me by. After the death of Bill Paxton I was reminded of this film and all I knew was it was a vampire movie and he was very good in it. So when this came out as a winner I was very happy to get it watched.

My Life In Horror 1986 – The Fly
Along with Little Shop of Horror (read review by clicking HERE!) The Fly was voted with it as the second film from 1986 that I should watch and review. I’ve always loved The Fly movie, I’ve watched it loads of times from when I was a kid wanting to see all the gore to closer to the present day where I saw it as more than just a film with some gory scenes. I guess the question as with all movies from the 80’s is, do they stand the test of time?
20 Storeys Down Issue One Review
For weeks now I’ve seen the comic 20 Storeys Down popping up on my Facebook, I guess due to all the other comic related stuff that I follow. I grew more and more curious about it, so I decided to message the creators and ask if they had a promotional copy to send to reviewers. Luckily for me they accepted my cheeky request and here I am giving you a look at the first issue.
Curse of Chucky(2013) Review
After hearing news that there’s going to be another Chucky film and then seeing the trailer for Cult of Chucky I decided it was time to watch the only Child’s Play film I’d not seen. My missus is a big fan of Chucky so we settled down to watch the crazy little bastard hopefully kill some people and drop some one liners whilst doing so.
My Life in Horror 1986 – Little Shop of Horrors
So now I move on to 1986 with the voted for reviews as I cover two films from every year that I’ve existed for. The 1986 winners were two films I remember loving as a youngster The Fly which I’ll most likely review early next week because of it’s gore obviously and this Little Shop of Horrors because it was damn fun. So here’s my first 1986 poll winner review.
My Life in Horror 1985 – Demons
So for people who don’t know I’ve been putting out two Twitter polls containing four films from every year since I was born, the two winners would be watched and reviewed on here. The first 1985 winner was Fright Night a true classic, the second was Demons a film I’m not familiar with at all and I didn’t quite know what to expect apart from some gore.
My Life in Horror 1985 – Fright Night
The films voted for on my Twitter polls just keep coming and now it’s on to 1985, the winners here were Fright Night and Demons. I’d seen Fright Night so long ago that I didn’t remember anything about it at all, in fact I’d seen the remake much more recently and I enjoyed it. But now it was time to settle down and watch the original movie.
Life(2017) Review
I was hyped for this film for a while and there was also a “fan theory” that it was a prequel to the upcoming Venom film. Now I knew that wouldn’t be true at all but it still peaked my interest in getting it watched. I finally got the chance and before it started I wondered, would this finally give us a spacey horror that was decent or would it be another blend of horror and sci-fi that totally sucks like normal.
