I was worried recently that I’d miss this film at the cinema due to a knee operation but luckily I was able to stumble my way into the cinema and get it watched. You can read my review of the original by clicking HERE! Remakes and reboots are usually disliked by horror fans mainly because they’re miles below the original or they’re a pointless Hollywood remake of an Asian horror because people are too lazy to read subtitles.

My Life in Horror 1984 – Firestarter
My quest continues to watch two horror films from every year I’ve been on the planet, the first winner of a Twitter poll was A Nightmare on Elm Street. The second winner I was surprised to see was Stephen King’s Firestarter turned into a film. I’d hadn’t really heard much of this and wasn’t expecting too much when I watched it, did it exceed my expectations? Continue reading to find out!
My Life in Horror 1983 – Christine
Along with with Videodrome which you can read my review of by clicking HERE! the good people of Twitter also voted in Christine for me to watch and review. I hadn’t seen this for a long long time and although I like everyone else knew/knows the basic concept I had trouble recalling any of the film. My missus loves this film so she knew what to expect more than me when we settled down to give this classic a watch.
The Dark Tower Trailer
It seems like we’ve been waiting forever to see Stephen King’s The Dark Tower be made into a film, there were rumours of a TV series and a set of films, to be honest I’m not sure if the TV series is still a go or if it’s dead. Anyway here’s the trailer………
Cell (2016) Review
I read about a new Stephen King film based on one of his books called Cell, I’d never read or even heard of the book but thought the film sounded pretty good. I’m always up for watching something that might offer a new take on the zombie/virus/mutant crazies genre of films. So here’s my thoughts…….
Stephen King’s IT (1990) Review
I realise that most likely everyone has see IT but when I started this blog the aim was to write about every horror film I watch. I hadn’t seen this for a fair few years so decided to rewatch it, my memory is poor so although I could remember the important things a lot of it was quite fresh.
The Mist (2007) Review
I watched this when it first came out and quite enjoyed it, so now I write a horror blog I thought I might as well refresh my memory, watch it again and write a review for the film. It also features a handful of people from The Walking Dead and I wanted to see them in something else.
“The atmosphere is perfect for this film, I have a bit of a soft spot for films that are mostly based in one place.”
