After The Fly and Little Shop of Horrors won the 1986 vote on Twitter I once again took to the polls to find two films from 1987 to watch and review. This is possibly my favourite year so far with Hellraiser winning and also Near Dark. Now Near Dark I had never seen before, I’m not sure why it was just a film that passed me by. After the death of Bill Paxton I was reminded of this film and all I knew was it was a vampire movie and he was very good in it. So when this came out as a winner I was very happy to get it watched.

What We Do In The Shadows (2014) Review
During a recent movie night we all agreed that the films would be Shaun of the Dead and Deathgasm as everyone bar me and the missus had not seen Deathgasm. After watching it someone recommended What we do in the Shadows, it looked decent on the trailer so what better than a bit of humour to finish what had turned into a horror comedy night. I’d heard of this film but not seen it before and I love a mockumentary style movie especially if it’s funny and horror based.
The Strain Season 2 Review
After greatly enjoying season one I obviously had to watch season two, as such this meant it’d be silly of me not to write up a quick review on my thoughts. I did wonder if it would be as good viewing as the first season was so here’s my thoughts.
The Strain Season One Review
I decided to look for some decent horror series to watch and this one has vampires in it so surely that fits into the horror genre right? There doesn’t seem that many about, American Horror Story being the best one in my opinion. So we sat down and watched a couple of episodes a day to get the first season done and dusted so I could review it.
“The pacing of the show is really good, it answers questions but also adds a few more into the story. It never once frustrated me and I found that there wasn’t a single boring uneventful episode in this season.”
